On 1 July 2023, we celebrated SELINA’s 1st Birthday!

It has been a fruitful and exciting journey over the past year. From the very beginning, we have been dedicated to making a positive impact across Europe by promoting ecosystem services and biodiversity conservation and enhancing ecosystem conditions.

Here are some of the key SELINA highlights from the last year:

• We engaged and collaborated with relevant stakeholders to raise awareness about the project.

• We marked the beginning of the SELINA thematic workshops, holding the first one in Sofia, Bulgaria in March 2023.

• We presented inspiring real-world innovative examples of how knowledge on biodiversity, ecosystems and ecosystem services can be used to support evidence-based public and private decision-making processes.

None of the above would have been possible without the incredible commitment, support, and enthusiasm of all the SELINA partners. 

We are motivated to continue our journey together towards supporting the protection, restoration, and sustainable use of our environment.
