The launch of the SELINA Early Career Researchers Network (ECRN) was announced during the second SELINA thematic workshop, that took place in Madrid, Spain in October 2023. The network kicked-off with an online webinar on 22 November 2023.

Starting in November 2023, the early career researchers of the SELINA project will be meeting monthly to foster the exchange of diverse expertise within SELINA, strengthen professional and personal relationships and skills, provide opportunities to learn from peers and gain insights into broader scientific, policy and practical issues related to the project and beyond.

In practice, the meetings range from scientific inputs, such as research insights on environmental justice presented by Dr Jarumi Kato-Huerta, to community-building activities such as research quizzes.
