The fourth SELINA thematic workshop will take place from 17-20 June 2024 in Trondheim, Norway. Hosted by the Norwegian Institute for Natural Research (NINA), the workshop will focus on advancing methodological solutions for integrated ecosystem assessments and connecting SELINA Strands.

Key objectives of the workshop are:

• Advance in the design of ecosystem assessment to address the ecosystem knowledge needs of stakeholders in the demonstration project and test sites in SELINA;

• Promote ‘peer-to-peer’ learning in ecosystem assessment across the SELINA consortium;

• Gain a deeper understanding of ecosystem assessment features that increase the likelihood of uptake by stakeholders to support policy design.

Participants will also have the chance to participate in a mini-workshop on digital twins, urban planning, and urban ecosystem accounting, in collaboration with Asplan Viak, NINA, and Trondheim commune. Additionally, participants will have the chance to attend a public seminar "Ecosystem Accounts as a Public Information Good: Building a National Collaboration with Private Business, Finance, Civil Society, Local and National Government," organised by the local Environment Agency.
