Welcome to the 12th edition of the SELINA Newsletter! As spring unfolds, SELINA continues to move forward with a wide range of activities, outputs and collaborations across the consortium.

This edition opens with highlights from across the project, including new Demonstration Projects videos, SELINA joining the EU Ecosystem Services feed on Bluesky, and the successful conclusion of the partner spotlight campaign, which showcased all 50 partner organisations and strengthened SELINA’s role as a pan-European network supporting nature-positive, evidence-based decision-making.

At the same time, new opportunities and updates show that the consortium is actively engaged, including the testing phase of a tool for ecosystem service assessments organised by the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA), as well as an open PhD position in Geo-AI for fine-scale ecosystem accounting.

Collaboration and exchange have remained central. SELINA was represented at international events such as the GREEN TALENT project Bulgarian Demonstration Hub meeting, while Communities of Practice across EU countries continued to meet, exchange experiences and explore how ecosystem services and biodiversity knowledge can better support real-world decision-making.

The newsletter also presents the growing number of SELINA-related scientific publications, further strengthening the project’s evidence base on topics such as ecological planning, ecosystem condition indicators, nature-based solutions and landscape monitoring.

Looking ahead, upcoming SELINA and international events are featured, including the 7th SELINA Workshop in Galway and key conferences taking place across Europe in 2026.

We invite you to explore the full newsletter and discover the latest developments from across SELINA.
