SELINA Demonstration Projects (DPs) are real-world innovative examples of how knowledge of biodiversity, ecosystems, and ecosystem services can inform and support evidence-based decision-making processes (from projects to plans and policies) in both public and private domains. To facilitate access to information about the 15 SELINA DPs, we have launched the Demonstration Projects tab under the Impact menu on the SELINA website. The section provides structured information on the objectives, expected outcomes, and key partners involved in each of the DPs.
The DPs are categorised into three groups - public, private, and hybrid public/private DPs - and further organised into four clusters, namely Agriculture and water, Forestry and finance, Coastal and marine, and Spatial planning. Each project encapsulates the collaborative efforts of key partners and is designed to drive positive change in its respective fields. The section on the website also provides the opportunity to explore the dynamic and interactive timeline showcasing each project.
