The second Polish Community of Practice (CoP) meeting took place on 26 May 2024 in Poznań, organised by the Department of Integrated Geography, Faculty of Human Geography and Spatial Planning, Adam Mickiewicz University. 

The meeting brought together nine stakeholders representing local authorities, businesses and public institutions to explore how ecosystem services can better support decision-making.

The session focused on the practical application of ecosystem services, introducing their potential for use in planning and procurement while encouraging participants to share their previous experience with ecosystem services assessments and procurement procedures.

The workshop also introduced the Terms of Reference (ToR) tool, developed within SELINA to support the preparation of procurement conditions for ecosystem services assessments.

Part of the session took place in a computer laboratory, where attendees tested the ToR tool through hands-on exercises.

The meeting highlighted the importance of practical, user-friendly tools for translating ecosystem services knowledge into everyday planning and procurement processes. The feedback gathered during the workshop will support the further development and refinement of the ToR tool, helping ensure it meets the needs of future users.
